Approximately 250 kilometers south of Hua Hin, or 480 kilometers south of Bangkok is the city Chumphon.

Chumphon is the capital in the province which boasts over 200 kilometers of beaches. This allows for plenty of opportunities ofbeach life and there are many cozy bungalows along the sea.

Chumphon itself is a quiet city with a local lifestyle. In the town you find many shops and markets. There is a very good night market having with little restaurants and small stalls offering everything at inexpensive prices.

In the province Chumphon you also find spectacular nature and beautiful waterfalls. In the city you can rent taxis or pig trucks that will take you around all day for a price of about USD 30. Chumphon is an excellent well-known among the Thais. The province is known about its oil palms and rubber plantations. If you go to the countryside, there are good opportunities to meet and talk to the local people.

This place is also known as” growing” ediblebirds nests used in Chinese delicatessen.
